Position
Key Responsibilities:

- Support laboratory the laboratory team in analysing data from the testing processes as required.
- Testing and deployment of the analytical pipeline by overseeing the testing processes and ensuring that the code is rolled out in accordance with best practices (ISO13580 and IEC 62304 being the key references).
- Technical review of sequencing data.
- Identifying and tracking of key metrics for the sequencing and analysis pipeline
- Developing tools and tracking mechanisms for key metrics used in monitoring the stability of laboratory processes.
- Follow all written procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.
- Participate in laboratory process improvement initiatives as required.
- Perform additional tasks as required.

HIPAA Compliance:

- Agree to abide by Employment and Confidentiality Agreements and End User Policies.
- Commit to stay up to date on training requirements for HIPAA.
- Understand the importance of the proper handling and disposal of ePHI and agrees to follow HIPAA Regulations.
- Abide by the requirements for the proper disposal of equipment containing ePHI.
- Agree to report breaches and the improper handling of ePHI to the Company’s Privacy and Security Officers.

Requirements
Education/Qualifications:

- Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Computational Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology or related discipline.

Skill requirement:

Ideal candidates will have:

- Experience supporting a clinical testing laboratory or experience in a laboratory setting.
- Computational/programming skills, necessary for troubleshooting
- Experience using LIMS, LIS and analytic tools provided (Access, IniData, Luigi) to perform day to day tasks.
- A knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and other laboratory regulatory requirements.
- Experience in understanding and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience contributing in a high functioning team setting.
- Proficiency in office productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
