Your role in our team:

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Lead, Production & Operations Planner to join the Technical Operations & Cell Manufacturing Group. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, you will work closely with teams across the group to create and manage the production schedules for a wide range of iPSC-derived cell types. You will contribute to capacity planning models, monitor product stock levels and ensure production processes are completed on time within budget. To achieve these goals, you will work closely with key groups including Operations, Production, Quality, Product Management, Supply Chain and Finance.

In addition to managing production schedules, you will also continuously strive to improve manufacturing operations within bit.bio. As such, there is a requirement to be diplomatic, collaborative, customer focused, change agile and comfortable in adapting to changing priorities in a rapidly growing business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Plan weekly & monthly production schedules, taking into account available resources including material availability, labour and equipment.
Lead actions to resolve production back log and material supply constraints to achieve the production schedule.
Creation and processing of works orders, routings and BOMs for internal as well as commercial products (including reworks, revision changes etc).
Develop processes & SOPs to support other departments in the usage of the company ERP / MRP systems (in the context of production scheduling, processing of works orders & BOMs).
Support production capacity planning and forecasting modelling.
Administration of the scheduling system (e.g. Delfoi planner).
Identify opportunities for improving inventory utilisation to improve delivery performance.
Create, maintain and report KPI’s to outline production activities and effectiveness and assist effective decision-making in the organization.
Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies within manufacturing and MSAT.

Have a degree in a related field or equivalent experience with demonstrable work experience in a Production Planning environment.
Are process oriented and experienced in developing, optimising & implementing workflows, procedures and resources in a quality management environment.

With essential experience in…

A strong working knowledge of Production Planning and Scheduling within the biotechnology sector.
Experience of working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple products and complex BOMs.
A proven ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders as well as excellent time management & organisational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

...and possibly.....

Experience of working with custom planning / scheduling solutions (e.g. Delfoi Planner).
Expertise in continuous improvement and its implementation (e.g. LEAN, 5S) and experience of working to a quality management system.
Experience of working in a regulated environment or with biological products such as iPSC-derived cell types.
Have an MBA or further education in operations management
