My client is a leading pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation in Kent, with a friendly and high performing analytical team. As a result of the work environment and training given, they have a low staff turnover, however, an additional opportunity has become available for an experienced Analytical Development Scientist

Working in a key laboratory-based role the Analytical Development Scientist will provide analytical support to secondary manufacturing and product development activities, and to provide support to technical project teams including the following key responsibilities;

HPLC Method Development and Method Validation, producing appropriate documentation
Test Method Transfers
Process Validation Testing of new pharmaceutical products and cleaning validation
Individual testing projects generated through the commercial group
Support product, production or test method investigations of new business projects
Identify new equipment as required and support it’s installation and qualification including cost proposal generation.
Cross functional support to other team members of the Technical Team including pharmaceutical technologists, packaging and process engineering.

Knowledge & Experience required for the Analytical Development Scientist role;

BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Forensic Science or another Life Sciences subject, or equivalent working experience
Experienced in analytical testing using HPLC in a pharmaceutical environment.
Thorough understanding of the GLP documentation requirements of a QC lab.
Experienced in Method Development and Method Validation, using HPLC
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities
