The Innovation China UK (ICUK)/Global Innovation Partners (GIP) programme is based at Queen Mary Innovation Limited - a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). We are now seeking to appoint a Partnership and Communications Manager to develop innovation partnerships with China and Southeast Asia countries, with an emphasis on initiating and supporting joint research and innovation activities, as well as implementing innovation partnering events involving a wide network of UK/overseas institutes and companies. A strategic and analytical approach will be required to identify competitive advantage and assess academic research strengths as to their suitability for various types of international funding opportunities.
The post holder will also assist Principal Investigators in post-award project management for a number of large bi-lateral projects. He/she will have a strong delivery focus in a complex organisation; balance planning, influencing, facilitating and project management in order to produce successful outcomes for multiple projects. Ultimately, the post-holder will be expected to generate and diversify QMUL research incomes.
The post will be a 2-year fix-term but is likely to be extended after the initial engagement. The salary will be around £41,000 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, interest free season ticket and Universities pension scheme. Part-time engagement (0.8 FTE) may be considered.
