Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is committed to delivering outstanding impact from its world-leading research. We are now seeking to appoint a Research Impact Officer to support the development and evidencing of research impact across the School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD).

The post-holder will support the preparation of impact case studies for the next Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) and assist with the external engagement work of the Business & Partnerships Team (part of QMUL’s Research Services Directorate) in which they will be based. In addition, they will work with QMUL’s web team to create and maintain external and internal web resources to promote the impact of our research and will ideally have experience in website development.
The post-holder will report to the Research Impact Manager and will work closely with health researchers based within the School of Medicine and Dentistry. They will support and engage the Deputy Dean for Research Impact along with academic leads for research and impact, as well as other Professional Services staff who are functionally aligned with business and community engagement, research development and innovation.
This 12 month post is available as a result of maternity leave absence and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will end, subject to a notice period of one month. Starting salary will be in the range of £37,411 - £44,015 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
