Senior Research Programme Manager – Centres and Institutes

Location: Stratford, London

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: £38k - £45k depending on experience + benefits

Why we need you

We are currently recruiting for a Research Programme Manager who will be responsible for building relationships with our centres and institutes, driving collaborative activity between them and as a key scientific and strategic contact within Cancer Research UK.

What will I be doing?

Make an impact every day by:

Initiating and driving strategic projects and programmes of work to help develop our scientific portfolios and build communities
Building relationships with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally, acting as a senior scientific interface with the research community
Overseeing and supporting funding committees and panels as appropriate and ensuring a high quality of scientific evaluation
Forming excellent internal working relationships and providing senior leadership credibility

What skills are you looking for?

You’ll be able to bring to the role:

Experience of supporting scientific programmes and exposure to strategic projects, preferably within a biomedical research organisation
Demonstrable experience of project and/or programme management
Post-graduate degree in a biomedical science, preferably cancer-related
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and develop relationships with senior stakeholders
