My client is an established and successful analytical organisation, providing contract analytical services and chemistry consultancy to a range of Pharmaceutical clients. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced Senior Scientist – LC/MS to work within their Mass Spectroscopy laboratory focussed on pharmaceutical small molecule quantification.

The Senior Scientist – LC/MS will be focused on analytical and investigative studies using Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry for quantification of small molecules at trace level in a wide range of pharmaceutical and biological sample matrices using LC-MS.

Working as a more senior member of the team the Senior Scientist – LC/MS will provide guidance and support to less experienced members of the team, passing on your knowledge and expertise.

The Senior Scientist – LC/MS will have contact with clients directly, you will scope out the requirements, determine timeframes, generate data, interpret the data to provide insights, and generate quality & robust analytical reports. This will involve managing analytical projects, which may include collaboration with different teams within the business.

To be considered for the Senior Scientist – LC/MS role you will need the following skills and experience;

BSc / MSc/ PhD in Biochemistry/Chemistry (or related scientific discipline)
In-depth knowledge and experience of LC-MS quantification of trace compounds
Comprehensive experience and theoretical understanding of liquid chromatography and sample clean-up procedures would be advantageous.
Experience of working in a GxP regulatory laboratory with strong understanding of GMP/GLP/GCP principles.
Strong method development and validation experience
Excellent communication, teamworking and organisation skills.
Good IT literacy skills
