Our client Pistoia Alliance a Life Sciences Industry Membership Organisation (Not-for-Profit) Seeks a Strategic B2B Marketing Leader – Independent Consultant Role; 3 days per week. Preferred location: USA East Coast.

Pistoia have made significant advancements in the last 18 months including implementing modern marketing technology tools for the business and building a team of enthusiastic business development professionals in the USA and Europe. They now wish to enhance our marketing efforts, up the game including our web presence and offering an exciting program of innovative new projects to the membership and to broaden out the membership significantly further to include more Biotech companies as well as organizations operating in MedTech, Software and AI, diagnostics and other Life science technology arenas.

Reporting to the Executive Officers and the board; the key remit will be developing and executing a new marketing strategy to achieve the membership expansion whilst at the same time delivering a new communication approach to the existing membership by providing an enhanced digital focus and upgrading the website to allow transactional activities. The role holder will lead a team of 7 covering Communications, Marketing and Education/Conferences

The role requires an experienced B2B marketing professional e.g. Head of Marketing or VP Marketing, preferably within the life sciences industry or another relevant high-tech or emerging technology business such as those employing advanced digital or AI/ML tools or advanced technologies to be applied in Food/agrochemical. A demonstrated track record of Creating Marketing Strategies and architecting and delivering successful marketing campaigns, including establishing and tracking metrics. Proven ability to develop effective, persona-based pitch languages in partnership with business development teams and knowledge and experience with implementing marketing automation is required. The ability to work productively in a virtual environment is essential as is the ability to lead a team of other part-time professionals, to deliver shared success criteria and targets.
