Talent Acquisition and HR Generalist (Europe & Asia Pacific)

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment (c. 70%):

Using existing recruitment tools and processes provided by the Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, provides full cycle recruitment (from job postings to candidates’ offers) for all departments in Europe & Asia Pacific, with a main focus on Scientific Sales roles

Develops and maintains strong working relationships and ongoing communications with hiring managers, HR stakeholders (Global Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence, HR Business Partners, Shared Services Team), and candidates, reflecting our employer brand as an employer of choice, and ensuring outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience

Taking strategic direction from Talent Acquisition team, proactively and continuously develops a pipeline of qualified candidates utilizing a variety of data sources, sourcing channels and strategies, including job boards, social media, direct sourcing, university career events and academic networking

Operates as a talent advisor by understanding current and future business needs, and bringing knowledge of the external talent market, thus shaping job design and recruitment strategy

Proactively manages the recruitment process and track progress on open positions using Workday and TalentBrew tools, ensuring process excellence, and data integrity and accuracy

Builds and maintains an up-to-date understanding of key university career events in Europe, and coordinates the planning and execution of a few targeted events per year

Human Resources (c.30%):

Contributes to HR activities for employees based in several countries in Europe and Asia Pacific, such as:

Employee general enquiries

Employees’ changes and related paperwork

Quarterly performance reviews and annual salary and promotion reviews

Employee Relations

Payroll processing in partnership with Finance and local payroll providers

New hires onboarding

Employee Benefits management

HR systems support (Workday)

Perform other Recruitment or HR related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or Life Sciences

Extensive recruitment experience in a high volume and fast paced environment, including demonstrated success sourcing technical roles. Preference will be given to candidates who have recruited in a business to business sales environment.

Previous experience in HR as an advisor or generalist within a global organization is preferred

Background managing the full recruitment life cycle with an applicant tracking and recruitment marketing system, such as Workday Recruiting is an asset

Superior customer service and professional demeanor with the ability to operate in a process driven environment where strong attention to detail, responsiveness and quality are highly valued

Sound judgment, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential

Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines, while being comfortable with ambiguity and capable of quickly adapting to changing priorities

Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations), with the ability to interact at all levels, facilitate, influence and negotiate to reach desired outcomes

Strong relationship building skills, comfortable networking and representing STEMCELL externally

Self-motivated and equally successful at working independently or as part of a team

Mastery of English required. Fluency in additional languages such as German (or French), is an asset.
