Role Summary
The research associate will be responsible for the production of recombinant proteins, and play a critical role in the discovery/development of novel molecular reagents. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual.
Key Responsibilities
- He/She will be a team member in the production of recombinant proteins, and play a critical role in the discovery/development of novel molecular reagents
- He/she will be expected to participate in experimental design, conduct experiments, optimize throughput, maintain detailed records, and generate standard operating procedures
- Design and conduct experiments with limited supervision from Scientists
- Evaluate data, make observations, troubleshoot, and keep detailed records in laboratory notebook
- Communicate results and observations to colleagues in team meetings
- Other duties are assigned
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related discipline, and 1-2 years of biotech/pharma industry experience is preferred
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques, required.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques, required
- Experience with transient and stable mammalian protein expression, required
- Experience with WB and ELISA is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), required
- The successful candidate should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and contribute to the strategic goals of the company
