Who we are:
We are a new contract research organisation (CRO) providing scientific solutions and people resource to our clients looking to outsource research in the pre-clinical drug discovery space. We provide scientific resource, knowledge and experience to help our clients get their drug to the clinic faster. Our ethos is to work collaboratively with our clients to enhance problem solving and provide immunology excellence to progress their drug discovery program. As a CRO our clients are diverse ranging from small Biotech through to big Pharma; this provides an exciting opportunity to work with many different clients and across multiple cutting-edge drug development projects.
The focus of the company is the human immune system in areas where the immune system either drives disease such as autoimmunity, inflammation, neuro-inflammation, and in areas where the immune system provides potential therapeutic target solutions such as immuno-oncology, vaccine development, cellular therapies, gene therapies.
The role:
We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic Senior Scientist to join our growing company. You will work within a small team to run diverse client projects, and be involved at all stages from inception and planning, running experiments and reporting and presenting data to clients. A significant part of the role will be laboratory work so problem solving skills and a passion for being at the bench and analysing data is a must. You should be a good communicator and keen to work in a team environment to bring projects to completion. The role will involve providing mentorship to more junior scientists and give you the opportunity to acquire management skills. There, will be a significant opportunity for you to grow your skill set and knowledge within the immunology space.
Who you are:
You should have a passion for working in immunology in the drug development industry. The role is suited to someone who enjoys diversity and working on varied projects. You should have a very strong fundamental knowledge of the immune system and hold an MSc or PhD which involved study of some aspect of the immune system. Ideally you will have 3years or more post-doctoral or equivalent industry experience. You should be rigorous in your approach to data handling, analysis and presentation. Significant practical experience in one of more of the following areas is required:
-Cell culture of primary immune cells and cell lines
-Flow cytometry
-Imaging and image analysis
-qPCR/molecular biology
-Cytokine analysis (multiplexing)
