šŸš€ Ready to join a team thatā€™s Revolutionizing Science and Redefining the Workplace?

Weā€™re hiring: Senior Scientist, Protein Sciences

At Creasallis, we are committed to revolutionizing science AND the way we work. A passion for making scientific breakthroughs is essential, but so is a desire to co-create an extraordinary workplace and way of being together; and that might be slightly different to what you are used to. At Creasallis, science and culture go hand in hand, and we expect you to play a role in shaping both.

What we do: Enhancing antibody therapies to save lives

We are an antibody engineering company aiming to improve how antibodies penetrate solid tumours. Our solution is a modification of an antibody, so your role as Senior Scientist, Protein Sciences is key to ensure that the tinkering we have done can still make a great drug!  We expect you to know what it takes from a protein perspective to get an antibody to the clinic and to support and contribute to the programmes.

šŸ’¼ What youā€™ll be doing: The role

Forget boring job descriptionsā€”hereā€™s what youā€™ll actually be doing as a Senior Scientist, Protein Sciences

  • Protein Science Mastermind: A protein sciences guru, you will lead the expression, purification and characterization of antibody and non-antibody molecules.  You may be required to generate stable cell lines
  • Cross-country driver: Youā€™ll be at the forefront of driving our research and innovation and play a central role in pushing boundaries and contributing to our culture and exploring a new way of working and being together.
  • Hands-On Scientist: Currently Protein Sciences is a team of one which means you also need to do the hands-on work and execute and deliver ā€“ but this gives you so much scope and a blank canvas to be creative and innovative! Expect to be in the lab, doing the science.

šŸ’” Who we are

Our people are our superpower. At Creasallis, youā€™ll find a team that:

  • šŸ’Ž Values each individual: Each person plays a crucial role in shaping our science and culture.
  • šŸ§¬ Supports each other: Weā€™ve got each otherā€™s backs, always.
  • šŸ¤ Owns responsibility: We speak up. Own it. Do the right thing.
  • šŸ˜‚ Loves to laugh and are a little bit quirky: Science is serious, but we donā€™t always have to be.
  • šŸ¤” Stays open and curious: Open minds lead to fresh ideas and deeper connection.
  • šŸŒ± Thrives on growth: We embrace challenges as opportunities to learn.
  • šŸ¤ Holds each other accountable ā€“ always!

This is who we areā€”people who care, learn, and work together to make both our science and workplace great! šŸš€

šŸŽÆ Who weā€™re looking for
Have you got what it takes? Itā€™s not just about ā€œwhat you doā€ but ā€œwho you are beingā€. The  Senior Scientist  role is vital to achieving our ambitious scientific goals. Weā€™re seeking someone who embodies our guiding principles while bringing scientific expertise to the table.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD and/or MSc in a related discipline, with experience in the production and characterisation of proteins in an industrial setting and have experience with antibodies. You will be working independently, so ideally you will have 7 yearsā€™ experience working in a Protein Scientist role preferably in the drug discovery industry, and have already worked across multiple projects.
  • You will have an understanding of the drug discovery process with expertise in construct design, antibody and protein expression, characterization, and purification.
  • Experience in the antibody-drug conjugates space, in particular the conjugation, characterisation and assessment of such conjugates for drug discovery and imaging purposes is desirable.
  • You are excited about turning Creasallis into an antibody engineering powerhouse, and about co-creating an amazing work environment.
  • We are a start-up! Things change quickly, so you need to be flexible, adapt with us and be ready to step up and grow into our future organisation.
  • You thrive in an environment that expects you to take responsibility, speak up when needed, and hold yourself and others accountable.
  • At times, projects will have tight deadlines, so being able to deliver whilst maintaining high-quality standards and efficiency are crucial.
  • Youā€™re curious and open to exploring new ideas, learning from others, and listening to diverse perspectives.

šŸŒŸ Why join us?

We know itā€™s not just about what you bring to the tableā€”itā€™s about what you take away. Hereā€™s whatā€™s in it for you:

  • As people who join us love what they do, we want you to focus on just that. Thatā€™s why we offer competitive salaries and perks so you can focus on what you are passionate about.
  • Real work-life balance with unlimited vacation and flexible working hours that work for you.
  • We expect you to bring your authentic self to work (including fun, laugher and quirkiness), knowing that our collective strengthsā€”and imperfectionsā€”make us a formidable team.
  • Grow your career while pioneering something completely new and potentially saving lives.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company transforming science and the way we work.
