A statistician is required to support world-leading research and related activities at the Quadram Institute. Working under the guidance of the Senior Statistician and as part of the Core Science Services team, the postholder will provide statistical support across the Institute’s research areas, including study design, data analysis, interpretation of findings and communication of statistical methods and results.

The role will involve working with scientists, students and other methods specialists to support a broad range of research in bioscience, including laboratory studies, human studies, epidemiology, genomics and other data-intensive areas of research.

The post also provides opportunities to contribute to statistical training and continuing professional development for staff and students, research quality and integrity activities, commercial or translational projects, outreach, and knowledge exchange. The role would suit a statistician with a strong foundation in in applied statistical methods, good time management and communication skills, curiosity about biological research, and the willingness and ability to identify and learn new methods as needed.
