Join the Eastern England Secure Data Environment (SDE) and Health Innovation East Midlands for the launch of a new webinar series demonstrating how the Eastern England SDE can support research and innovation by providing secure access to de-identified NHS patient data for analysis.

The webinar will share insights from a pioneering Imperial College London research project using de-identified patient data from our region’s Secure Data Environment. The team is validating a machine learning model designed to predict hospital-acquired pressure ulcers, helping identify patients at greatest risk and supporting future clinical implementation.  

We will explore the journey from research to real-world application, examining how the algorithm is being externally validated using patient data within the SDE and why validation is a critical step before AI tools can be adopted in clinical settings.
