Richard Dickinson has just completed the conversion of c9,000 sq. ft. of open plan offices to Laboratories at The Works, part of the Unity Campus for the Howard Property Group.  This started with a feasibility report to look at installing Biology Laboratories on the first floor.  Richard had knowledge of the building as he had already installed two projects for PhoreMost and Summit and generated a generic fit-out which was slightly modified when a Tenant came on board.  Read more here.

Future Laboratory Space in the Cambridge Area

The considerable shortage of supply of purpose designed laboratory buildings in and around Cambridge means that landlords are in the process of initiating the development of new laboratories across a number of locations. This situation has arisen because landlords have tended to be reactive rather than proactive in anticipating the property needs of the life science sector. 

The table excludes laboratory development projects that do not have detailed planning permission.
