PrecisionLife and Metrodora Institute share first insights with ME/CFS, Long COVID participants in MetX research study

MetX funded by $1M grant from Metrodora Foundation to accelerate research for complex multisystem disorders

SALT LAKE CITY, UT and OXFORD, UK – 18 September 2024 – PrecisionLife, a leading clinical-stage precision medicine company focused on chronic diseases, and Metrodora Institute, an advanced US research and healthcare center, have begun sharing the first research results with participants from Metrodora’s MetX study.

Gene-environment interactions in human health and disease

This introductory course explores the complex interplay between genes and the environment in shaping human phenotypes. Participants will gain knowledge of cohort datasets, environmental readouts, and computational resources to investigate gene-environment interactions. Ethical and legal frameworks related to data privacy and consent will be discussed. The course also covers computational modelling techniques for integrating genotype and environmental effects. By the end, attendees will be equipped to analyse cohort datasets, make use of computational resources, and interpret the results.
