I am a freelance consultant and a science and medical writer. I trained in physics before switching to biophysics for my PhD (later bioinformatics) and spent nine years as a postdoctorate in the UK and US before changing careers in 1998. I still teach to MSc level; bioinformatics and structural biology at Birkbeck, University of London and medicinal chemistry at the Opeu University.
